Open Thread: Trading Post - The Final 48

We are a bit closer to the deadline, and some updates are available:

• Jesse Crain was traded to the Rays for something.
• The A's are out on Peavy (or are they?)
• The Tigers acquired Jose Veras from the Astros in exchange for Darny Vasquez
• The Angels traded Scott Downs to the Braves for nothing
• The Phillies are making Cliff Lee available for a high price, but say they are not dealing Dominic Brown, Cole Hamels or Chase Utley. I see that they want to extend Utley, but I wonder why they would not trade him and then resign him in the off season, allowing them to net prospects and not give up a draft pick anyways.
• The Giants are selling. Or they are not. Who knows.
