Game Thread #84: A's vs. Cubs (3)

New, 442 comments

The A's took a lead, gave it up, and then tied the game right back up partially thanks to the defensive shenanigans of Alfonso Soriano and Starlin Castro. 5-5 headed to the bottom of the 5th.

AJ is keeping the A's in it - but that's not saying much tonight.

5-5 in the bottom of the fifth — it only took A.J. eight pitches to get through the Cubs' half of the fifth. My father (not a big baseball fan) just glanced at the TV and asked me "Who's this hippie pitching?"
