Your links before the A's kick off a three-game set against the Cubs.

The Cubs have traded Bay Area native, Burlingame HS grad and former College of San Mateo pitcher Scott Feldman to the Orioles. Bleed Cubbie Blue talks about the deal.

As he was slated to start tonight, the Cubs have had to call up a spot starter.

But that's not the only move the Cubs will be making.

But they still aren't done! They also sent gascan Carlos Marmol to the Dodgers in a deal for Matt Guerrier.

Jeff Sullivan takes a really good look at the first base situation in Milwaukee. What does this have to do with the A's? Well, first off, it mentions how terrible A's first basemen were in 2011. Even with a couple of monster weeks out of Brandon Allen, they were still historically bad. It also would lead one to think that maybe the Brewers would maybe want Daric Barton. Although they're a bottom-feeding team missing their legitimate first basemen to injuries, maybe they'd want to give him a try. Don't forget that those craptacular first basemen authored a win over the A's. Really puts that game into perspective.

A Cuban pitcher named Odrisamer Despaigne has defected. I'd sign him just for the name.

Yes, you can call tonight's game through Twitter. I'd love to see a few AN in-jokes when I check Twitter between innings and when I'm riding home after the game.

Today's starting lineup is out! It'll be interesting to see how Freiman does after so much time off.

On this day one year ago, the A's knocked Daisuke Matsuzaka around, got a solid start from Jarrod Parker and beat Boston by a final score of 6 to 1.
