Hahahahaha what a joke.
First off, it was bad enough that the A's had to fly cross-country after a night game. Then that game got delayed by three hours. And then?

If you haven't read son of ptbarnum's Moneyball article, I highly recommend you do so. Don't take it from me, take it from Grantland's Jonah Keri.
Strong @athleticsnation post - author re-read Moneyball, walks us through what it's actually about. http://t.co/IlchjjkNCG

So Yu Darvish won't be on the All-Star team since he's going to be on the DL, and he's being replaced by ... Matt Moore. Moore is a good choice, but he's not Grant Balfour.
In other AL West news, the Mariners have called up Erasmo Ramirez. He had two very good starts against the A's last year on June 25 and on September 30. If anything, I'm surprised they ever went with Jeremy Bonderman and Aaron Harang over him.
A 60-year-old pitcher who went to College of San Mateo is attempting a comeback.
