Game Thread #79: Oakland Athletics vs. Cincinnati Reds

The A's, after losing two utterly heartbreaking games over the weekend in the last inning of the games, will try to regroup against a very, very good Reds team back at home tonight. Tommy Milone will be taking on Bronson Arroyo and will try to stop the A's June swoon.


Well, we're back at it after a simply horrifying weekend. The A's lost two games that they had fought for, and ended up losing not only a brutal 3 of 4 in Texas, but 2 of 3 in Seattle, as well. The A's look forward to the friendly confines of home as they are back at the Coliseum tonight. Tommy Milone will be facing Bronson Arroyo as the A's lineup tries to get something started early in the game.

You might notice that we have a new catcher. With our fifth starter in Triple-A, one catcher banged up, and the other just awful, the A's are starting Stephen Vogt at catcher in the game tonight. We wish him all the best.
