Tweetcap: The Best Tweets from Game 27

I was planning on writing another plate disciplines piece after the game ended, but that obviously didn't happen. In its place are some of the best tweets from beat writers and fans who watched this thing.

Luckily Moss didn't strain anything rounding the bases.

First, let's do beat writers. Both the A's and Angels have some excellent beat writers, but the one I really enjoy when games start getting out of hand for any reason is Jane Lee. Her tweet stream just starts becoming more and more snarky over time, and this morning, she was at her pinnacle. Here is a sampling of some of her best ones:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Turns out they saved "Call Me Maybe" for the 12th inning. Grrr.</p>&mdash; Jane Lee (@JaneMLB) <a href="https://twitter.com/JaneMLB/status/329121528614625280">April 30, 2013</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Anderson gets a clean 1st inning ...err, 13th inning. So the ankle seems to be OK.</p>&mdash; Jane Lee (@JaneMLB) <a href="https://twitter.com/JaneMLB/status/329125255849320448">April 30, 2013</a></blockquote>

There are plenty of other ones on her timeline. Take a look for some laughs. Here are some from other writers:

I don't know if Plaschke counts, but this was a good one:

There are plenty of others. If you don't tweet, then you missed out on a lot of solid comedy last night. Shout out to everyone who follows me and the @athleticsnation account for making what should have been a tedious game to watch be an enjoyable thing that kept me wired through the night and into this morning.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to adjust my IV coffee drip.
