For the first time this season, the A's are trying to avoid a sweep. They'll send Tommy Milone to the mound in search of his 4th win, opposed by the ever name-changing Roberto Hernandez of "former Fausto fame".
Milone's previous start at Tampa Bay was perhaps the strangest of young career. On May 6th, the control artist started the 1st inning by walking each of the first 3 batters and wound up surrendering 4 runs. However, Milone settled down and allowed just 1 run over the next 4 innings as the A's knocked Matt Moore around. Milone left after 5 innings with the lead and was returned a 9-5 winner. Hey, whatever works.
