Welcome to the Nate Freiman era! These next few days are pretty crucial for the likes of Freiman, Daric Barton, Adam Rosales, Eric Sogard, Jemile Weeks, Scott Sizemore, and Hiroyuki Nakajima.
One guy who appears assured of making the April 1st roster is A.J. Griffin, who will presumably start the A's 4 game of the season on April 4th. Today is Griffin's final Cactus League tuneup, followed by a start against the Giants in the Bay Bridge Series and then "for realsies" against the Mariners. Griffin is opposed by RHP Josh Beckett.
The Dodgers are limping to the Cactus League finish line, down Hanley Ramirez (thumb) and Zack Greinke (elbow soreness), and with Chad Billingsley still on the mend (finger). For the A's, the infirmary report centers mostly around Josh Reddick (sprained ankle).
