Billy Beane is on some kind trade mania meds or something. We have Cotillo and Passan teaming up for info:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Source: <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Nationals&src=hash">#Nationals</a> acquire Jerry Blevins from <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Athletics&src=hash">#Athletics</a></p>— Chris Cotillo (@ChrisCotillo) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChrisCotillo/statuses/410845953357131776">December 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

Naturally, Beane said earlier today he was happy with the bullpen. Except he's not. On the other hand, the return looks rather juicy for a LOOGY:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Nationals send Billy Burns, their minor league player of the year, to Oakland for Jerry Blevins.</p>— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) <a href="https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/statuses/410846727567323136">December 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Billy Burns, acquired by Oakland, lives up to his name: He stole 74 bases and was caught just seven times last season.</p>— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) <a href="https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/statuses/410847435414466560">December 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

Dave Cameron seems to like him:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Billy Burns is a homeless man's Billy Hamilton. Probably shouldn't give that up for a LOOGY.</p>— David Cameron (@DCameronFG) <a href="https://twitter.com/DCameronFG/statuses/410847206460383232">December 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

I was jokingly hoping that somehow A.J. Cole would end back in Oakland, but that obviously didn't happen. As I mentioned earlier today, the amount of times someone of note had mentioned Blevins told me he was probably on the move. More later, but this is a whole lot better than non-tendering Blevins.
