AN, I know I don't appear often enough on this site lately especially with our little team that could having such an incredible season. I will say that I'm reading every day and simply love the content here as well as the community. The front page crew is incredible and one of the best in the nearly nine-year history of this site.
But I'm popping in now to share with you the fact that we have some huge, exciting and game-changing updates coming soon to your favorite community and it was important to me to be able to share this note with you. I drafted the note below for the rest of our sites to share with their communities and it will be rolling out across SB Nation's 322 blogs right around this same time. I've never been more excited about the future of what we're bringing to sports fans and our intent is to just tease you enough so you share that similar excitement. Without further ado, here is that note:
It's with great pleasure that I unveil the first step in the next evolution of Athletics Nation. In the next month SB Nation will be undergoing a dramatic upgrade to our platform and our editorial process. There will be much more detail to come but for now, the new logo below is just a first taste of what is coming for Athletics Nation.
This is a small, but important sample of what is coming when our network undergoes its most exciting and radical transformation in the eight-year history of the company. A new visual identity here and across the network is only one step we are taking to unite our network of sites. United through individuality is the underlying theme of this project. You'll notice that our team colors and the unique spirit of our individual community is maintained while making it clear to sports fans that each site is a part of the larger SB Nation network. We want everyone to know that they can find the same type of great writing, video and conversation that we offer here on all of our 300 plus sites. And now, drumroll please...your new Athletics Nation logo that will be coming as a part of the huge upgrades of SB Nation United.
I hope you love it as much as I do and I hope you take the time to peruse some of the many other logos on that site. The Silver and Black Pride logo is one of my favorites but maybe the best one is Raptors HQ. It's simultaneously awesome and terrifying.
