The A's come in riding a modest, but still worrisome 3-game losing streak. Indeed, last night pretty much followed the usual plan when the A's face Jared Weaver: 4-hit 9-K shutout, give up a key hit to some Angels spot player, Angels win by 4.
The A's counter with former slegnA Bartolo Colon, he of the infamous 38-consecutive-strikes versus his former team back in April. Another such streak would be fantastic tonight, as the A's need someone to pitch deep without giving up a bunch of runs. Also, someone that didn't let Mike Trout on base all the time would be cool, too.
Here are the lineups, courtesy of baseballpress.com. Cliff Pennington rejoins the party, after being activated off of the DL today, but remains out of the lineup against a lefty. Luckily, Cespedes has also returned, hopefully with his right wrist in tip top condition.
