Game Thread 115 - A's vs. Royals

One thing the Royals have on the A's: their stadium was properly renovated. Up there on my list of stadiums to visit.

As mentioned this morning, the A's will begin a stretch against the unwanted ends of breadloaves of the AL. Today, the A's will attempt to make an offensive masterpiece happen in KC (see what I did there?!?). While Jeremy Guthrie has been good as of late, he's still a guy who was discarded traded for Jonathan Sanchez. Enough said there. On the plus side for the Royals, Yuniesky Betancourt was offered his unconditional release this morning. Perhaps they'll be playing with an extra bounce in their step because of it.

The A's will counter with Jarrod Parker, he of the MLB-leading LD%. For tonight, let's hope none of those LDs wind up in the lovely fountains of Kaufman Stadium. Also, Josh Donaldon returns in Brandon Inge's stead.

Finally, if you're watching this game on MLB.tv basic, you might want to be muting the audio tonight: The unholy duo of Steve Physioc are Rex Hudler have been reunited for Royals' broadcasts. Be scared, my friends.
