Tonight the A's come back to Oakland after a seven game road trip where the A's took 2 of 3 from the Mariners and avoided the four-game sweep against the Rangers for a 3 - 4 road trip.
Jarrod Parker will start for the A's and take on Daisuke Matsuzaka and the Boston Red Sox. Although the A's played the Red Sox in a three game series earlier in the season, but this will be the first time this season they'll face Daisuke Matsuzaka.
Jarrod Parker is coming off of one of the best starts of his short career as he pitched 7 innings, only giving up 3 hits, and giving up 1 earned run and tying his career-high in strikeouts with 9. Daisuke Matsuzaka has only made four starts this season, but he is coming off of his best outing of the season going 5 innings, striking out 5 and walking one while only giving up 1 earned run.
Hopefully the A's can cut down on the K's and the errors and get on a nice winning streak as we get closer to the All Star break.
