Game Thread: A's @ Rangers Game 77

The A's head deep into the heart of Texas to take on the dreaded Rangers. Tyson Ross and Scott Feldman pair up in a duel of underwhelming starting pitchers. Ross enters tonight's game with a 6.02 ERA, 5.27 FIP and 4.9 K/9, 4.5 BB/9 and 1.1 HR/9 in 58 1/3 innings of work. Scott Feldman is not much better, as in his 42 innings on the hill he has put together 6.9 K/9, 3.0 BB/9 and 1.1 HR/9 for a 6.00 ERA and more respectable 4.09 FIP. The lineup that Ross faces is a bit more to contend with than what Feldman has to go up against, as Oakland trots their typical lineup as of late out there with Derek Norris getting the start behind the dish.

Norris has received quite a bit of playing time since being called up, and has a .250/.250/.438 slash line in his 16 plate appearances with the one memorable game winning home run. He hasn't been the only spark for the A's who are winners of 11 out of their last 15, finding themselves a hair under .500 at 37-39, as the entire club has upped their level of play as of late. The A's have done well against the Rangers this year winning four of six against their AL West foes, and hope to keep that up tonight!

LET'S GO OAKLAND!
