Open Thread: Game 76 - Oakland Athletics at Seattle Mariners

The A's try to win the series (and creep ever closer back to .500) with a win today, as they throw Jarrod Parker up against Kevin Millwood. Fun fact from MLB.com:

In the team's past 12 games, Oakland's starters have compiled a 1.77 ERA.

That's nice. Let's hope they can keep it going today; the A's need to win series, especially against the Mariners, before they take on Texas for another four games, starting tomorrow.

Today's lineup is...interesting. I'm sure there is a better #2 hitter than Cliff Pennington, yes? The triple-Brandon's are batting back-to-back-to-back, so maybe that will be some kind of a magic spell. My last gamethread until mid-July; let's make it a winner!

LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
