So. Let me 'splain how Tyson Ross is pitching today. No. There is too much. Let me sum up: Evan Scribner has been sent to AAA. Tyson Ross has been called up. Eric Sogard has been called up, Adam Rosales sent down, and Kila Ka'aihue has cleared waivers and has been sent to Sacramento.
Now that you are all caught up, there's a game today! The A's will try for their fifth win in a row (yes, really), as Tyson Ross (siiiiigh) takes the mound against another "Ross", Ross "Smarty-Pants" Ohlendorf, who graduated from Princeton. Has he met Craig Breslow?
I make fun, but it's pretty freakin' awesome. From MLB.com:
The 29-year-old righty has a degree in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, and wrote a 126-page thesis on the investments made and returns reaped by Major League clubs with Draft picks from 1989-93.
I'd kind of like to learn more about that story, but right now, all we care about is if he can pitch. The A's are on their longest win streak of the year, helped by a tremendous amount of run support, which our Ross should need today.
No sign yet of Yoenis Cespedes, but don't worry; Reddick, Smith, and the Brandons make up the middle of the order.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
