The A's look to win the series today (I KNOW!) as they throw Jarrod Parker for his A's debut (2nd Major League start overall) in this afternoon's game. Even with only one inning of offense yesterday, the A's managed to win the game behind the strong start of Tommy Milone, and they will look to breakout offensively today.
The A's lead the AL in awful offense; they have scored 54 runs in their 19 games so far; that's less than 3 runs a game. Luckily, the charming-yet-elusive Miss .500 is only a game away; thanks largely to the success of the A's pitching staff. The A's can secure a 10-10 record with a win. This game is a big deal for the A's; it will give them a chance to see how Parker makes the transition to the big leagues.
The game today will not be televised in the Bay Area, but perhaps the Chicago feed is showing it nationally? Check WGN.
Here are today's lineups:
Coco is missing again, but we do have a Kila sighting!
I'll be your host through the game, and then I'm going to go to the bullpen for a guest recapper.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
