Open Thread: Game 2 - Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners

The A's hope to avoid being the first team not to split a series in Japan as they take on the Mariners again tonight this morning some ungodly time.

A HUGE thank you to MLB Network, who announced today that it will be showing the game live, even in Oakland.

MLB Network will air live the second game of the Japan Opening Series between the Mariners and Athletics tomorrow at 5AM Eastern, then re-air immediately after and again at 10pm ET/7pm PT. The game will be available live in the Oakland television territory.

Bartolo Colon will be making his A's debut against the Mariners, and one can only hope he is half as good as Brandon McCarthy was yesterday. He should probably try to keep Ichiro from hitting in his new #3 spot; the A's Achilles heel in last night's contest. The Mariners will send Jason Vargas to the mound. The A's do not want to start the season in an early hole to Anaheim and Texas, so they will need to win tonight's game, at any cost.

Here are your lineups, courtesy of my old friends, Baseball Press:

Melvin has switched Allen for Kila, Sogard for Donaldson, and Gomes for Smith.

Ready? Here we go again!

LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
