Good afternoon, and welcome to a brand-new baseball season! This is without a doubt, the best time of year, especially for a projected-to-struggle team; the A's can't muck up the shiny new season yet! And they have the first game; that has to be a good sign, right?

We know very little about this year's team; we know that Brandon McCarthy and Bartolo Colon will be the #1 and #2 starters for the Opening Days later this month in Japan (less than a month; can you believe it!?), we don't have a third baseman, I have no idea who will be playing first base, or the outfield, for that matter, but hey, it's baseball!

Spring Training certainly should mean more to us than other teams; it will be a true "play to earn a spot" competition as we pare this group of 60-ish players down to a 40 man roster, and ultimately a 25-man active roster.

Should we get started?

Taking the mound to start the game for the A's will be #45, RHP Graham Godfrey.

The A's will start with the following lineup:

Weeks (2B)
Pennington (SS)
Crisp (CF)
Ramirez (DH)
Smith (LF)
Reddick (RF)
Suzuki (C)
Allen (1B)
Donaldson (3B)

For the first time this season, LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
