Personally, as I hope everyone here does as well, I have a lot to be thankful for myself. I am healthy, happy, and have great things to look forward to in life.
As A's fans, we enjoyed the A's turning in one of the most amazing seasons of baseball ever. For the first time since 2006, the A's were relevant in the postseason, and the sentimental favorites of many around the baseball world. While it didn't turn out the way we would have liked it, the excitement of the last 2 months of baseball will live on, and help spawn a new generation of fandom.
2012 was a good year for AN, as well. With the site re-design, new writers, and new readers, AN is still the best site on the internet for A's coverage. Nowhere else can the same wide variety of perspectives be found. From Blez's awesome Beane interview, to Zonis' Community Prospect List, there is a little bit of everything here. I know I am thankful to be writing amongst the Front Page group we have right now. Indeed, I'm thankful for the way all electronic media has allowed me to indulge my baseball addiction even during the offseason. From refreshing Twitter every minute to see Bob Melvin being named Manager of the Year, to spirited debates over MVP, being a baseball fan has never been as fun.
Finally, you know what I'm most thankful for?
83 days until pitchers and catchers report.
From all the AN writers, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. AN wouldn't be same without every single one of you.
