Hello, Michael Taylor!
Yeah, yeah, I know, he wasn't called up today. But the super-prospect turned minor league dud turned intriguing under-the-radar sleeper has only played in two games so far, and he's yet to record his first major league hit. Hopefully, that ends tonight.
He'll try to do it against Danny Duffy (3-8, 5.73 ERA), a bright young prospect in his own right. Baseball America ranked Duffy 68th overall before this season, and while he's had a tough year, he still has loads of promise. Opposing Duffy for the A's is Gio Gonzalez (12-11, 3.21 ERA), who is coming off of a seven inning scoreless outing against Cleveland. The Royals could put up a tougher fight than the Indians did, but Gio should be able to handle it.
First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
