Game 89 Open Thread: Oakland A's @ Texas Rangers - Making Up is Fun!

New, 407 comments

Making up is fun to do, contrary to the song. On May 11th, we were finishing up a series at Arlington, and our token All-Star Gio Gonzalez gave up 7 runs through four innings. But then the rains came. And the A's fanbase had a much different reaction to it than the Rangers fanbase. Mitch Moreland was especially upset.

This time we've got Rich Harden, who might be a little mad about being left off the Rangers playoff roster last season. Or he might fall apart during his warm-up pitches. Either way, the A's are ready. Moose Costco was unceremoniously sent down to Sacramento today. I am sad, but I might be alone in loving Moose Costco. Safe to say though, the A's have plenty of pitching available should King Richard fall apart and not be able to be put back together again. Although SuSlu tweets that NewBob says Moose Costco is still slated to start on the 19th and that they just want to get him work with twelve days off.

He goes against Derek Holland, who had a lot of difficulty against a significantly better McKeon-led Marlins last time. He failed to get out of the first inning, after giving up five runs on four hits and two walks. No doubt with Complaint Pig back in the lineup, our offense is one to fear!
