Open Thread: Game 98 (Oakland Athletics at Detroit Tigers)

Well, let's see. Scott Sizemore is out today, after being hit in the neck in yesterday's game. That must be a dream come true for today's rookie starting pitcher from Detroit, Duane Below, as he faces the following lineup:

He's probably thinking, "I may not have a conventional baseball name, but I might throw a no-hitter my first time out!". Our lineup today is an adventure. And not in the "I'm going to Hawaii!" kind of way, but more of the "I'm going to be eaten by alligators!" sort of trip. Brandon McCarthy, fresh off his first win in months, will be taking the mound for the A's, no doubt wondering what he did to deserve the lineup.

Yes, we still have 65 games to play. Settle in.

LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
