After suffering a brutal three-game sweep at home at the hands of the Yankees, which ended a modest streak of good play, the A's limp into Boston, a little worse for the wear. This is the first game of an 11-game road trip, and if it's any comfort, the A's really can't play worse than they did in the Yankees' series.
Clay Buchholz will be facing off against Josh Outman, in what should be real test for Outman at Fenway Park. I wish we had the other lineup, but sadly, we are throwing ours this afternoon. Barton has finally been moved down in the order, leaving Crisp, DeJesus, and Willingham at the top, in what is no doubt our best-hitting trio. Everyone have drinks? Oh...right. West Coast time. Work, and all that. Enjoy the last hour before the weekend, and we can all hope the A's give us something to celebrate this Friday night.
