Well, there's not much to recap tonight. Neither pitcher allowed a hit until the sixth inning, but walks abounded. Moscoso went seven innings in total, allowed only two hits and three walks to the Phillies. The A's were allowed 5 walks in total, and they couldn't turn any of them into a single run. If the offense couldn't score tonight, that does not bode well for the remaining games in the series.
Instead of using a well-rested Bailey for the ninth, Bob elects to use Fuentes, who walked the leadoff hitter, which means an automatic run. The runner was singled in, and the A's drop the opener 1-0.
