Chris Carter Called Up!

In an effort to get the big hit that the A's just couldn't manage last night, Chris Carter has been called up and presumably is in New York. Josh Willingham has been placed on the DL.

From MLB.com,

Carter hit .235 with five home runs and 21 RBIs at Sacramento, and batted .333 with three long balls on a six-game rehab assignment with Class A Stockton.

The 24-year-old can play either the infield or outfield, and he made his Major League debut last season, hitting .186 with three homers in 24 games. An 0-for-33 slide was followed by a .342 stretch in his final 13 games in the bigs last year.

The game starts in just over an hour; let's take the series!
