The A's try to take a series from the red hot Cleveland Indians by throwing Brett Anderson to the mound. The A's will try to take out Jeanmar Gomez. Gomez is apparently on a bit of short leash and might be pitching to keep his job in the Indians rotation. Course the A's have a tendency to make pretty much any opposing pitcher look like Cy Young so I wouldn't count on the A's being the team to knock him out of the Tribe's rotation.
Anderson is looking to improve on his last trip to the mound where he gave up seven earned runs to the Rangers en route to the A's only loss to Texas during the four-game set.
I don't know about you but I feel good about Anderson after he's been hammered the last time out. He just strikes me as the kind of pitcher who is driven to make up for a bad outing.
