Let's try game #38 over again. After narrowly dodging an ugly loss in the game-that-wasn't on Wednesday night (that would have put the A's back at .500), the A's try to rebound behind Brandon McCarthy tonight at home. MLB says that McCarthy has thrown six or more innings in six of his seven starts this year, but he doesn't have a lot to show for his efforts. Phil Humber, who worked his way into a six-man rotation for Chicago, will oppose McCarthy in tonight's contest.
