As we're complaining about the offense, I thought some actual numbers might be helpful. These numbers are sad, as expected. If you are interested in team statistics, just know that the A's have not scored the fewest runs in baseball. They've scored the third fewest, only eclipsed by the Padres and the Twins. The A's have scored 85 runs to date. Just for comparison, the Cardinals have scored 136, the Reds 132, and the Indians 129. But if you like high numbers, the A's have committed the second-most errors in all of baseball (24 to Houston's 27).
Here are the A's player stats:
It is truly only the pitching that is holding the A's at .500 right now, and the offense has got to get better. I mean, they have to, right?
I'll be game-threading from the 5 tonight as we're driving to Oakland! The A's take on Texas; 7:05PM.
