After an RBI single by David DeJesus gave the A's the 1-0 lead, Brandon McCarthy shrugged, said "I guess one run is better than what the rest of them get" and went back to pitching six scoreless innings. We go to the bottom of the sixth, A's clinging to a one-run lead.
