I still can't wrap my brain around the idea that after the A's play today's game, that there will be just over 48 hours left until the official season starts for the green and gold. That's right, we're playing for-real games starting Friday night! And if that isn't the best part of your year (with the exception of A's October baseball), you are dead inside. Dead!
In what will be the final tuneup for the both teams (the Giants start their season in Los Angeles tomorrow; the A's, obviously, on Friday night), today's game promises to be fun and exciting and worth the watch. Okay, maybe not. Likely, it will be a true exhibition game, where everyone takes one last chance to tune up, and everyone SLIDES FEET FIRST!
The A's will send Dallas Braden to the mound this afternoon as he finishes his Spring outings, while the Giants showcase Madison Bumgarner.
