With Texas enjoying a comfortable 8.5 game lead on our Oakland A's, it's unlikely that this series has any real meaning except for improving the A's own record, which currently stands at .500, despite the incredible pitching we've seen this season. But stranger things have happened. Texas would have to lose a whole lot of games to make the A's relevant again, and they could start with these three.
Brett Anderson will take the mound tonight, and he will be opposed by Texas' Tommy Hunter. Jack Cust will patrol the outfield tonight as Larish will play the part of the DH.
