Open Thread: Game 120 (Tampa Bay Rays at Oakland Athletics)

You want to talk about a team that has it all? The Rays have the third-best offense in the majors (by runs scored) and the sixth-best pitching staff in baseball (by runs allowed). They even have the third-best defense according to UZR. The Rays have two-fifths of their starting rotation currently on the disabled list, and still, they're red hot, outscoring Texas 24-11 in a sweep earlier this week. And now, the St. Petersburg juggernaut has its sights for the East Bay, as they open a four-game weekend series with the A's tonight. If you like pitching duels, you're in for a treat:

Trevor Cahill vs. Andy Sonnanstine

Vin Mazzaro vs. Jeremy Hellickson

Brett Anderson vs. David Price

Dallas Braden vs. Matt Garza

Be sure to make it out to the Coliseum to see one (or four) of these. Oh, and if you're going tonight, be sure to bring sunscreen, because a certain Dan. Johnson. is starting at DH. Seriously. I'd also watch out for runaway Volvos in the parking lot.

First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
