The A's finish their series with their visitors from the North in a getaway day game. The A's send Gio Gonzalez to the mound to face the Southern California boy Marc Rzepczynski who went to high school in Anaheim and college at UC-Riverside. Rzepczynski, pronounced zep-chin-ski, threw a 7 inning, 2 hit gem at the Angels in his last outing which was his first start with the Jays since July 21.
After breaking a 4 game losing streak last night, the A's will look to win a series before hooking up with the mighty Rays for a 4 game set over the weekend.
Today will be our first look at the Jays stud catching prospect, JP Arencibia, who hit 31 homers in AAA this year prior to his 2 HR in his MLB debut. Cust sits again versus a lefty as Mark Ellis takes over the DH duties for an afternoon. Should be a beautiful day at the park!
Let's Go A's!
