The A's have their work cut out for them tonight against Carl Pavano, whose resurgent season has him going for his 15th win for the Twins. Pavano has been excellent for the Twins this season, and will be backed by the hot-hitting Twins' offense.
The A's will counter with Gio Gonzalez, who, needless to say, doesn't have the best record against the Twins in his career, mostly due to two big blowups. He will try to turn that around tonight, as he looks for some run support from his offense, who has struggled as of late. MLB.com reminds us that the A's have only hit four homeruns in their last sixteen games.
This will be the A's first glimpse of Target Field; let's hope they like the field.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
