After two utterly frustrating, maddening losses to the Mariners, which saw the A's score a grand total of one run, the A's try to salvage the series in the day game. The A's have been very good in the daylight this season, and that's about all they have as a silver lining going into today's game.
Dallas Braden will go up against Luke French in the series finale; French outdueled Zack Greinke his last time out. The A's offense will try to score a run. Chris Carter, still in search of his first major league hit, has been moved to eighth in the lineup, and Suzuki just gets to use his bat today; Powell will catch.
