Vin Mazzaro takes on Joel Pineiro in tonight's division rival game, which should be named "Playing for Second" after Texas all but secured the division with their acquisition of Cliff Lee. As of tonight, the A's are four games behind the Angels, so the A's could make a dent in the deficit.
Pineiro is having a decent year, and has won his last six starts. Mazzaro has also pitched well since he replaced Anderson in the starting rotation.
