After a thrilling victory (if not a slightly embarrassing win) in extra innings last night (Thanks, Kouz!), the .500 A's head into today's game looking to take the series from the Red Sox.
However, in order to accomplish that, they'll have to beat All-Star Clay Buchholz, who is returning to the Red Sox rotation after a month on the disabled list. The A's have to hope they can get to Buchholz while he is still trying to shake off the rust.
Countering Buchholz today will be Gio Gonzalez, who has pitched very well so far this year, sporting an 8-6 record and a 3.63 ERA.
The A's will try to record more than a handful of hits in today's game, but to be honest, I won't really care as long as they win. And here's something you won't see often; our outfield (Watson, Davis, Crisp) is batting 7, 8, 9 in today's lineup.
The A's will send out the following crew for the potential series win:
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
