If memory serves, and it rarely does, the A's are .500 (2-2) in Chezes Nico. Trevor Cahill will try to put the A's over .500 in BYODAs, and within a game of .500 in 2010, as the "ineligible All-Star" squares off against lefty Bruce Chen who, quite frankly, sucks. Chen has done a nice job so far this season for KC, though: 5-3, 3.81. For his career, however, Chen is 41-46, with a 4.66 ERA.
With a lefty on the mound, Adam Rosales and Matt ("the other white Matt") Carson get the call, with Ellis at DH and only Daric Barton swinging from the left side. Note that Baron's career OBP against LHPs is a gaudy .402. So he should probably bunt a lot.
