Open Thread: Game 90 - A's vs. Royals

New, comments

The A's try to continue their recent winning ways after a four-day break. Neither Texas nor Anaheim is cooperating in the standings--Texas won yesterday and is already ahead of the Red Sox 2-0 in today's contest, and the Angels easily beat Seattle last night--but the A's hope to keep pace with a win tonight.

Gio Gonzalez will take the mound today, trying to keep his winning season rolling (he's 7-6 with a 3.79 ERA). He has not pitched well against the Royals in his career, in contrast to the Royals' starter, Zack Greinke, who owns the A's in four starts. Greinke was scratched from his last start, but he's ready to go tonight.

Both Coco Crisp and Rajai Davis are in the lineup tonight; they will join Gross in the outfield.

My lineup widget is apparently running on Pacific Time, so here is the A's lineup:

Crisp, CF
Barton, 1B
Suzuki, C
Cust, DH
Koooouz, 3B
Ellis, 2B
Gross, RF
Davis, LF
Pennington, SS

LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
