Last night the A’s snapped a six-game road skid, and tonight they hope to win their first series away from home since their initial field trip of the season, when they took two of three from the Angels.
At 6-14, the A’s are tied with the Mariners, Mets, and Orioles for fewest wins in games they bat first. And yet they enter tonight’s contest with Baltimore just two games behind the Rangers in the American League West.
A couple of young pitchers will be on the hill tonight; Gio Gonzalez for the A’s, and Brad Bergesen for the hosts.
