Open Thread: Game 45 - A's vs. Giants

The A's try to sweep their way over .500 today at the expense of a Giants team that is struggling to score runs more than the A's are -- and that's saying something.

Oakland sends Ben Sheets to the mound against the talented but inconsistent Jonathan Sanchez. Coco Crisp is not in the starting lineup, with a "chest muscle owie" -- because the hamstring and finger apparently weren't enough so far this season for Coco -- and Ryan Sweeney has the day off, giving him two days of rest in a row for his aching knees.

Enter Adam Rosales: Super utility-man! Rosales, who shone at 3B yesterday, takes his first shot at playing LF. We call this "Zobristing" and hopefully Rosales can excel again today.
