"Pop goes perfection, bitch!"

You know what's great about baseball? The day after a hard-luck loss, you get back up and do it again. The Oakland A's take on the Seattle Mariners tonight, looking for a shot at redemption. Taking the mound for the A's is Dallas Braden, he of eight functioning toes (as of this writing). He'll face off against Seattle's Ian Snell, a longtime Pittsburgh Pirate who came over to Seattle with shortstop extraordinaire Jack Wilson not a year ago. Can Dallas Braden pitch effectively with shaky balance? Can the A's offense put up some runs after shooting themselves in the foot time and time again against Felix Hernandez yesterday? Can Kevin Kouzmanoff improve over last nights's disastrous showing by going 0-4 with four strikeouts?

We'll just have to find out. The game may or may not be televised on CSN California+, as the main channel has its hands full with the Sacramento Kings game, and the moon isn't in the seventh house of Jupiter. Or something. First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
