Gio Gonzalez will make his second start of the young season tonight as he takes on the Seattle Mariners in the rubber game of this series. The A's won on Monday, but were shut out last night in what was a futile offensive effort behind a scoreless (and a little bit shaky) six innings by Anderson.

LHP Jason Vargas will face off against the A's offense tonight. Vargas allowed five runs in his 5+ innings last week against the Rangers. Nearly all of the damage came in the sixth; however.

Gonzalez looked solid in his season debut against the Angels, scattering six hits and two runs over six innings. He also struck out six while walking just one.

Mark Ellis is feeling better, but will not be in the lineup today. Neither will Chavez, Buck, or Sweeney.

Let's see if this lineup can score some runs! (Haha)
