Open Thread: Game 148 - A's vs. Indians

Picking up trash is fun. Optimist Prime will elaborate with an upcoming fanpost, and please be extra nice to lynnzgal as her plastic jugs are probably still sore. But I digress (to the mean)...

Happy birthday, Gio Gonzalez -- you get to pitch on your sweet 24th. May this year bring you better command. It's dueling lefties today, with Jeremy Sowers going for Cleveland as the A's try to win their 6th in a row. Ryan Sweeney rests his aching knees for another day, Ed Crosby is seething that his son has dropped to 6th in the order, and Rajai Davis leads off batting a cool .317.

And welcome back, Travis Buck, welcome to the A's, Jon Meloan, and welcome up for the first time, Henry Rodriguez, all called up today after the Rivercats were eliminated in their playoff series with Memphis 3 games to 0.
