For those in need of a Mariner fix, your wish is the schedule maker's command. Not since May 27 have the A's and Seattle met, but over the next 39 games that will take us to the end of the regular season, the division rivals will face off on ten occasions, beginning with tonight's contest in the Northwest.
A familiar face is in the Mariner's lineup this evening, belonging to Jack Hannahan, who is manning the hot corner for the home team. Probably a good thing, since this not exactly the same Seattle club we saw back in May.
Two men who will not be taking the field tonight are Ichiro Suzuki (tightness in his calf) and Rajai Davis, who injured his thumb in yesterday's victory over Detroit.
Vin Mazzaro gets the call for Oakland, while Ian Snell takes the hill for the M's.
