With the news that Bobby Crosby is now on the DL (did he trip over the bench in the clubhouse?), the A's will have to go to their "Plan B" lineup tonight. Oh, wait. It will be business as usual, with Barton playing the part of the AAA callup. In other non-baseball-related news, it appears that Duchscherer is out the rest of the season with depression. We wish him the best.
On the bright side, the top 6 guys in tonight's lineup are now all over .270 for the season which is a big improvement from where this offense was in mid-June or so.
Tonight's game will feature Gio Gonzalez, as he looks to rebound from his six-walk disaster against the White Sox on Saturday. He will be opposed by Edwin Jackson. Tonight IS Jason Giambi bobblehead night, so it will be interesting to see if the A's mention Jason at all. We will be looking for live comments from the park!
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
