Open Thread: Game 120 - A's vs. Wealthy Brats

Game 120! Essentially 3/4 of a season come and gone. The word "yikesarooney" does spring to mind. Tonight the A's get a crack at former teammate Chad Gaudin, with Brett Anderson getting the call for Oakland. Anderson is at 126.2 IP, as the A's start to talk more concretely about limiting the workloads of Cahill (139.1 IP) and Anderson the rest of the way.

As for Gaudin, he's 5-10 with a 5.13 ERA this year with a 1.53 WHIP created by giving up almost exactly 2 hits and 1 BB every 2 innings. The A's hope he won't get the Brett Tomko former-team adrenaline rush, but that instead he'll pitch like Gaudin and Tomko are supposed to pitch.

Tonight's lineup has Landon Powell catching, Kurt Suzuki DHing, Mark Ellis suddenly batting 3rd, Scott Hairston resting his sore quad, and Jack Cust occupying the space between Rajai Davis and the right-field line.
