OK this "off day" thing didn't work for me. We can't have this again. Baseball is back!
Tonight, the A's find themselves in a pennant race (not theirs, but you can't have everything), as the White Sox come to town just 2.5 games back in the Central and energized by the addition of Alex Rios to their already potent lineup. The A's will see the "not-so-potent" part tonight, as Jose Contreras takes his 4-11 record, and matching 5.09 ERA, to the hill against Brett Anderson, whose last 7 starts have yielded 52.2 IP and a 2.22 ERA. Anderson has allowed 1 HR in his last 58 IP.
