Open Thread: Game 26 - A's vs. Rangers

Awwwww...do we have to go back to A's baseball? Can't we continue wild speculation about Manny Ramirez? I have a feeling that would be a lot more fun.

Welcome to the game thread! Despite losing a disastrous game on Sunday, and losing less-painful-but-boring-and-tedious games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the A's are forced to take the field in a day game today, as they try to score more than three runs keep Texas to fewer than three runs prevent injuries not get suspended for fifty games win a game.

Trevor Cahill, who pitched well his last time out, will be on the mound for the A's. He will be matched up against Brandon McCarthy and the first place Texas Rangers. Interesting note; Cahill has the lower ERA, but zero wins to McCarthy's three. It's the difference in the offense; I'd trade with Texas. Is that a deal we could make?
